📌 Understanding the Difference: Weak Faith vs. Opposition to the Ruling
Not everyone who falls short of a ruling is the same. There's a big difference between:
1️⃣ Weak Faith (ضعف الإيمان)
A person agrees with the ruling but finds it hard to act on it.
→ Low energy
→ Low motivation
→ "Can't be bothered"
→ They don't deny it — they just struggle to practice it.
2️⃣ Hypocrisy / Opposition (نفاق / معارضة)
A person isn't just struggling — they are against the ruling itself.
→ They don't agree with it
→ They reject it
→ This can lead to kufr (disbelief)
⚠️ Important Distinction:
Someone who doesn't pray because they're lazy (due to weak faith) is NOT the same as someone who doesn't pray because they reject the obligation.
We don't confuse the two.
The first needs encouragement, patience, and reminders.
The second needs a serious conversation about faith itself.
🔑 Don't mislabel weakness as rejection. And don't let rejection hide behind "weakness."
