🔴 The advertising company Xandr, which is currently owned by Microsoft, was fined about 8.6 million euros after sharing sensitive information of thousands of Grindr users in Norway. This is the highest fine imposed by the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

The information, which included personal data of users, was shared with thousands of companies. Xandr assumed that Grindr had obtained user consent, but did not actually verify this.
