✔Beyond VQE: The Next Frontier of Quantum Chemistry and Quantum Computing

💥In previous PolyhaQ sessions, we explored the foundations of quantum chemistry on quantum computers. From second quantization and fermion-to-qubit mappings to hybrid variational algorithms such as VQE, we learned how molecular problems can be formulated and solved using today's quantum computers.

💡But quantum computing is advancing rapidly.

💥Today, researchers are developing a new generation of algorithms and hybrid quantum-classical workflows that extend beyond traditional variational methods, bringing practical quantum chemistry closer to reality.

✴We are delighted to welcome Alain Chancé, President of MolKet SAS and author of Quantum Chemistry and Computing for the Curious, for a seminar exploring some of the latest developments in this exciting field.

💡The seminar will introduce Sample-Based Quantum Diagonalization (SQD), a recently developed approach for quantum chemistry simulations, and discuss how quantum processors and classical supercomputers can work together within the emerging paradigm of quantum-centric supercomputing.

💫 Participants will also gain insight into current applications of quantum computing in chemistry, recent advances in open-source software, and the growing importance of energy-efficient quantum workflows.
