It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Tonka, APD’s beloved Great Dane and founding member of our Pet Team. For six years, Tonka brought comfort and connection to our APD family, helping build a program that continues to support first responders through life’s most difficult moments. His gentle presence and lasting impact will never be forgotten.

As one last way to honor Tonka’s legacy, we invite you to vote for him in the First Responder Paws Therapy Dog Award. If you’d like to celebrate the difference he made, you can cast your vote through October 19 at: https://fherehab.com/first-responder-paws-award

Thank you, Tonka, for taking care of our APD family. You will be deeply missed.
