We recognize Christopher Columbus as a pivotal figure in world history; his courage and fortitude laying the foundations of the modern world, and setting the course for the creation of the greatest nation the world has ever known.

Contrary to popular belief, we are not a nation founded by mere immigrants. We are in fact a nation established by pioneers and explorers; individuals willing to endure a month at sea in leaky ships infested with rats, disease, and a disturbing tendency to disappear without a trace. Individuals who knew surviving to arrive in the New World in no way meant safety, for it was a hostile and forbidding land, far more perilous than the one they left behind.

Despite these risks, they persevered, to fight, hack, and claw a new life out of the raw earth, determined in their goal to secure a better life for themselves and their children. These people were your ancestors.
Act like it.

Be PROUD of men like Christopher Columbus!
Be PROUD of your History!
Be PROUD of your nation!
Be PROUD of your people!
