NEW: A 32-year-old woman was arrested Saturday night after police said she hit a San Antonio police patrol vehicle and fled the scene.

The crash happened around 8:22 p.m. at Vera Cruz Street and South Brazos Street.

According to police, the patrol vehicle was traveling east on Vera Cruz Street when the woman's vehicle, traveling south on South Brazos Street, struck it in the intersection.

Officers later found the suspect vehicle in the 1900 block of South Zarzamora Street and arrested the woman. The officer was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.
