Please, praying for the SBI officer who was shot in the line of duty this morning.🙏🏻

The State Bureau of Investigation NC was requested this morning to assist the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office after a suspect shot at two deputies in the 800 block of Walker Street in Reidsville.

SBI agents responded and began searching the area. Agents determined the suspect may have moved into the crawl space under a house. While agents were getting more equipment to search the space, the suspect came out and began firing at our agents. An SBI agent was hit in the leg and returned fire.

The agent has been taken to Moses Cone Hospital for treatment. The suspect is in custody.
