UPDATE: OC DA Todds Pitzer just threw the book at the woman arrested for purposely fatally crushing a puppy with her vehicle in Santa Ana, CA. 75-year-old Hahn Nguyen has now been charged felony animal cruelty and felony animal abuse a felony enhancement for personal use of a weapon.

Spitzer is charging these wobbler offenses as felonies instead of misdemeanors and the felony enhancement will add potential prison time.
