After 31 years of service, Tpr. Robert Krupa retired from the Michigan State Police effective September 30, 2026.

A native of Flint, Trooper Krupa attended Northern Michigan University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. He began his career with the MSP on September 24, 1995, as a member of the 113th Trooper Recruit School. After graduating, he reported to the MSP Lapeer Post, where he served as a trooper for two years before transferring the then Detroit Post. Following four years in Detroit, he transferred to Gaylord and joined the Seventh District Fugitive Team. In 2006, he began serving at the Gaylord Post, where he continued as a trooper for the next 20 years.

During his tenure, he received the MSP Meritorious Service Award in September 2022 and the MSP Lifesaving Citation in November 2026 in recognition of his outstanding service. Known for his welcoming nature, Trooper Krupa has mentored many troopers and served his community honorably.💙
