BREAKING: The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a CHP officer was killed in a crash along Highway 99 and Avenue 144 just south of Tipton.

The sheriff’s office says that the crash occurred after 5:30 p.m. near Tipton in the area of Highway 99 and Avenue 152.

According to Caltrans, traffic going northbound on Highway 99 in Tulare County is closed.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that the coroner is on scene.
