NEW: On Monday, September 28, 2026, an Arizona Department of Public Safety Trooper sustained injuries as a result of a collision involving a commercial vehicle. The collision occurred at approximately 9:40AM on eastbound Interstate 10 within milepost 302, near Benson, Arizona.

The Trooper sustained significant injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the commercial vehicle was reported to be uninjured. The collision is being investigated by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
