NEW: On September 25, 2026, a Binghamton police officer sustained minor injuries in a crash involving a patrol SUV and a 2006 Jaguar at the intersection of Baldwin and Belden streets.

The officer was hospitalized for evaluation, while the 68-year-old Jaguar driver, who reported being shaken and sore, was taken to a hospital by a neighbor.

According to the car driver, the police vehicle ran a stop sign; authorities launched both a routine crash reconstruction investigation and an internal police inquiry.
