NEW: A Maryland State Police Trooper was injured Thursday morning after a vehicle crashed into a work zone on Interstate 695 near Harford Road in Baltimore County.
Law enforcement officers removed multiple vehicles from the crash site on I-695 on Thursday morning.
According to the Baltimore Sun, the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 24 on westbound I-695. Authorities said that impairment may have been a factor.
The trooper was stationed in the work zone when a Honda Ridgeline struck a Chevrolet Equinox and entered the area, hitting the trooper.
