💕 The “Collage Stamps” exhibition is now open!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on that rainy evening in Nizhny Novgorod. Thank you to “Vspyshka” for the delicious pastries. And a special thanks to Timur Khusyainov for his interesting stories and support of the educational project “Postal | The Past in Postcards.”

Thank you to the authors—Ekaterina Nesterova, Kristina Remizova, and Musya Sosnovska—for sharing how and why they took part in the July open call, as well as how and when the collage idea came about.

Meanwhile, we still have a couple of tricks up our sleeves:
🔸 Participant certificates are being prepared for mailing (thanks to Katerina Frolova for the layout);
🔸 we’re waiting for the sticker packs with collage stamps to arrive in Nizhny Novgorod from Stavropol.

Congratulations to the residents of Tula on City Day! 🎉

We invite you to take a brief journey back in time and see what Tula looked like over 100 years ago.

📮 The “Postal” project’s albums feature a special collection of pre-revolutionary postcards depicting views of the city.
These vintage postcards show Tula’s streets and squares, its urban architecture, and places that look completely different today.

💌 A postcard preserves not only an image of the city but also its appearance at a specific moment in time. Thanks to these small historical documents, we can literally glimpse into the city’s past and compare it with Tula as it is today.

Today’s postcard is from the “Russian Types” series and features a surprisingly vivid scene from everyday life.

A young woman is walking with a yoke and two buckets of water. A man has stopped nearby—he’s leaning over one of the buckets and drinking directly from it. It’s a small, everyday scene that the photographer managed to turn into a story of its own.
