​​SBI Holdings has completed its acquisition of Bitbank

#SBIHoldings has completed its full acquisition of Japanese cryptocurrency exchange #Bitbank. The transaction was completed through Bitbank’s repurchase of its own shares from MIXI and Ceres. Following the deal, SBI VC Trade President Tomohiko Kondo will join Bitbank’s board, while Bitbank CEO Noriyuki Hirose is expected to become an external director of SBI VC Trade. The deal was initially valued at ¥46.7B ($288.6M) when announced in June.
