A zero-gas-fee model raises an important engineering question: who absorbs the cost of execution?

On an EVM-compatible Layer 1, removing the user-facing gas fee is only one part of the design. Transaction execution, validator incentives, spam resistance, and network security still need to be addressed.

That’s what makes PLUS Mainnet’s approach worth examining beyond the headline.

The technical details matter:
• How transactions are validated and finalized
• How network resources are allocated
• How the fee model is sustained without compromising security
• How developers deploy and interact with smart contracts

These are the mechanisms that determine whether a blockchain design can work at scale—not just the promises attached to it.
