- expand our code for checking Google Play Store source stamp signatures to checking each split APK in order to prepare it for future security-relevant usage including optionally marking apps as installed from the Play Store after verifying the source stamp

- Fixed an issue where the navigation buttons would become unresponsive in the app drawer or task switcher
- Fixed an issue where the progress bar in the media player on the lock screen doesn't reflect the place in media
- Fixed a crash when trying to open effects in wallpaper
- Fixed an issue where the settings app would crash after trying to open the battery menu
- Fixed an issue where the lock screen date could get cut off when using a wide clock style
- Fixed an issue where the search button has a different color when scrolling

- Fixed an issue where dark album labels appeared in the photo picker when in dark mode, impacting readability

I repeat, DO NOT attempt to flash manually modified bootloader partitions to your Pixel! Including other "unknowns" like the DPM partition or the devinfo partition, which follow the same structure as the bootloader partitions!

These files not only have their own hashes that you need to watch out for, they are signed using Google's private keys which we cannot legally obtain!

Attempting to flash a manually modified bootloader WILL BRICK your phone. And as we just learned, attempting to flash a manually modified DPM will cause your phone to become unresponsive for a scary amount of time before EUB mode functions.

Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1
- Build ID: BP31.250502.008

- This build contains some of the Material 3 Expressive changes covered in last week's announcements, including a visual refresh to notifications, quick settings, the lock screen, and the launcher.
- If you prefer to leave the Beta program and receive the public stable release of Android 16, you can do so without wiping your device by opting out and not installing today’s QPR1 Beta 1 update. If you opt-out of the program after installing Beta 1 or any future updates, all user data on the device will get wiped per usual program guidelines. Opting out will trigger a ‘Downgrade’ OTA. Ignore this update and wait for the Android 16 public release instead.

- Clean wipe (data wipe) recommended
- FLASHING THIS RELEASE MEANS THAT FLASHING MAY BOOTLOADER TO BOTH SLOTS IS A REQUIREMENT, IF YOU CUT CORNERS IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
- fastboot flash bootloader path/to/image --slot all, also do fastboot flash radio path/to/radio.img --slot-all or flash stock twice over on both slots
