WEST MEETS EAST SCREENPLAY LAB 2026

The West Meets East Screenplay Lab invites #Asian_directors to submit their #feature_film projects for an exclusive mentorship program. This 4th edition will be held online from January 11–14, 2026, during the 24th Dhaka International Film Festival.

◼️ Why Apply?
Selected participants will receive personalized mentorship from experienced professionals to refine their screenplays. On the final day, projects will be pitched to producers, distributors, investors, and OTT platforms at FilmHaat, the festival’s marketplace. The top three projects will be awarded cash prizes:
🥇 1st Prize: BDT 500,000
🥈 2nd Prize: BDT 300,000
🥉 3rd Prize: BDT 200,000

◼️ Submission Requirements:
• Logline (max 50 words)
• Synopsis (max 400 words)
• Director’s Statement (max 400 words)
• Treatment (max 2,000 words)
• Director’s Profile

Once selected, directors will have 2–3 months to develop and submit the full screenplay.
