Film Hub North invites young creatives aged 16–25 in the North of England to take part in the DIY Filmmaking Challenge: Documentary — a free opportunity to develop, shoot, and screen your own short documentary with mentorship and support.

The challenge is open to #short_documentary ideas under 3 minutes, at concept stage, on themes like local life, identity, and personal experience.

Selected filmmakers receive mentorship, camera training, production support, and the chance to screen their work at a local cinema in summer 2025.
