🎓 PhD Position | Amplitude & Phase Control in Optical Metrology

A PhD position is available in Amplitude & Phase Control in Optical Metrology at TU Delft, within the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

🔬 Research focus:
• Optical metrology and coherent optical scatterometry
• Control of the amplitude and phase of the input probe
• First-principles constraints on optical fields
• Modeling and experimental validation
• Machine learning for improving optical metrology
• Retrieval of shapes, overlay errors, and other geometrical parameters

👩‍🔬 The position is suited for candidates with:
• An MSc in Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Interest in optics, electromagnetic scattering, signal processing, and mathematics
• Interest in machine learning methods
• Willingness to work with both theoretical models and experimental setups
• Good communication skills in English

💰 Salary: €3,204–€4,051 gross/month, increasing from the first to the fourth year.
