The newly established Institute of Photonics at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) is recruiting a PhD student for a DFG-funded project on photoinduced chirality in nanophotonic devices 🧪

🌍 International Collaboration 🌍
Together with partners in Germany and Brazil, you will develop active chiral metasurfaces based on photonic bound states in the continuum (BICs) 🤝

🔬 Research Focus:
- ✨ Cleanroom nanofabrication
- 🔆 Optical spectroscopy
- 🧬 Van der Waals materials
- 🌀 Optically controlled circular dichroism
- ⚡️ Ultrafast nonlinear light–matter interactions

🎓 Who We're Looking For:
A motivated researcher with a background in:
- ⚛️ Physics
- 🔌 Electrical Engineering
- 💡 Photonics
- 🧪 Materials Science
➕ Plus: Experience with nanofabrication, polarization-resolved and ultrafast spectroscopy, or 2D materials
