🎓 We are hiring! Two fully funded PhD positions (4 years)!

The Quantum Optoelectronics Group at Philipps-University Marburg is looking for two highly motivated PhD students to join our newly established research group.

Our research explores how ⚛️ excitons,⚡️electrons and 🧲 spins interact in atomically thin quantum materials. By stacking, twisting, and electrically controlling van der Waals heterostructures, we investigate fascinating many-body phenomena, including interlayer excitons, correlated quantum phases, and exciton-spin interactions, with exciting prospects for future quantum technologies.

The two PhD projects focus on complementary directions:
🔹 Excitons, correlated quantum phases, and quantum optoelectronics in electrically tunable van der Waals heterostructures.
🔹 Excitons and magneto-optical phenomena in emerging 2D magnetic semiconductors.
