🎯 The PhD project is part of the MOSAIC project – Multimodal Optical Sensing and AI for Crop & Food Safety – within the B-PHOT Brussels Photonics research group. The research focuses on developing a new generation of handheld, all-in-one optical sensors for real-time and non-destructive analysis of plants and food products. The project combines UV-VIS-NIR, fluorescence, and Raman spectroscopy with machine learning and AI-driven data analysis, optical design, and miniaturisation using freeform optics. The developed technologies will target applications in agriculture, crop monitoring, and food safety.
