🎓 Excellent PhD opportunity in Spain

🔎 Prof. Enrique Ortega of the Centro de Fisica de Materiales in San Sebastian (https://lnkd.in/etWp4Fkg) is urgently looking for a candidate for a very ambitious project on the synthesis and surface-science characterization of 2D porous Silicon networks.

📝 The PhD student will utilize
• Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) synthesis and sample preparation.
• Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) for real-space atomic imaging.
• Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) to map electronic band structures.
• X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Low-Energy Electron Diffraction (LEED) for chemical and structural analysis.
• Synchrotron Radiation Campaigns at international large-scale facilities.
