🔎 We are looking for a motivated 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 to join our research group in biophotonics at Physics - Politecnico di Milano.

🏢 The position is funded by TEF - Tech Europe Foundation and carried out in collaboration with Lumnora, offering the opportunity to work at the intersection of academic research and industrial innovation.

📝 The project focuses on the development of a new optical imaging platform for the quantitative characterization of bioparticles (extracellular vesicles) by combining:
• Light-sheet microscopy
• Microfluidics
• Single-particle tracking
• Advanced image processing

🎯 The goal is to enable high throughput, quantitative analysis of extracellular vesicles, contributing to the development of liquid biopsy technologies and biomedical diagnostics.

📖 The successful candidate will receive interdisciplinary training in photonics, physics, bioengineering and quantitative image analysis, while collaborating with both academic and industrial partners.

📚 If you have a background in 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀, 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, or a related field, and are interested in developing cutting-edge optical instrumentation for healthcare applications, we would be happy to hear from you.
