✨ Our research group at Dongguk University (Seoul, South Korea) is recruiting 2–3 PhD students for Spring 2027 (March 2027).

Preferred Applicants

💥 We prefer applicants who:
Hold a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields

Have research experience during their Master's program

Apply directly to the PhD program (preferred over integrated MS–PhD)

Have backgrounds in AI, device modeling, circuits, computer architecture, or semiconductor devices

Applicants whose background is primarily materials synthesis or characterization are generally not the target of this recruitment.

🔬 Research Environment:
Our lab supports the complete workflow from device fabrication to AI hardware demonstration, with in-house fabrication facilities and advanced electrical characterization systems.

🗂 Students working on semiconductor devices can fabricate their own devices using our in-house facilities, including:
ALD, Sputtering, Basic photolithography equipment
For electrical characterization, our laboratory is equipped with:
Two Keithley 4200A with pulse measurement modules
Two Keysight B1500 semiconductor parameter analyzers dedicated to array characterization

📋 Scholarship
Outstanding students may receive a 100% tuition scholarship from the university.

📝 Applicants with one of the following English scores are eligible for a 50% tuition scholarship:
TOEFL iBT ≥71 / IELTS ≥5.5 / CEFR B2 (or equivalent).

🔎 For these students, our research group will increase the monthly research assistantship to cover the remaining tuition on the basic montly salary, providing effective full financial support.
