💼 Call for: Research Assistant – Biophotonics & Cell Imaging (Part-Time)

📍 Location: Tehran (IPM Research Center – 2 days/week)

🤝 Commitment: Part-time, flexible around Master’s studies, long-term collaboration expected.

📚 About the Research
We develop advanced optical imaging instruments—Optical Coherence Microscopy (OCM), real-time 3D microscopy, and nanoparticle-based multiplexed imaging—to tackle challenges in cancer immunology, virology, and genetic therapy. This is hands-on, instrumentation-heavy work involving optics, electronics, detectors, and biological samples.

🗂 Who We Are Looking For
A Master’s student or recent graduate in Physics, Photonics, Electronics, or a related field who:
- Has a genuine, self-driven interest in research and tech development.
- Is curious, critical, and follows instructions with discipline.
- Seeks a long-term role, not a short stop, and values consistency.
- Thrives in a structured environment and is reliable.

🔬 What You Will Do
- Build and align optical setups (interferometers, microscopes, lasers, detectors).
-Electronic design and fabrication.
- Prepare cell samples and handle nanoparticle probes.
- Perform data acquisition, image processing, and basic analysis.
- Maintain lab notebooks, organize equipment, and manage daily lab operations.
- Contribute to project discussions and literature reviews.

🔎 What We Offer
- In-depth training in biophotonics, microscopy, and detectors.
- Supportive mentoring with room for your ideas once basics are mastered.
- Opportunity to co-author publications and build a strong research portfolio.
- A stable, long-term role that can grow with the research program.

📝 Essential Requirements
- Enrolled in (or recent graduate of) a Master’s program in Physics, Photonics, Electronics, or related.
- Basic lab skills (optics/electronics experience is a plus).
- Good written/spoken English.
- Ability to commute within Tehran.
- Commitment to at least 3–4 half-days/week with a predictable schedule.

📋 Desired (but not mandatory)
- Familiarity with Python, C++, Zemax, or Monte Carlo simulations.
- Experience with microscopy, cell culture, or nanoparticle synthesis.
- Knowledge of electronic circuits or detectors (SiPM, SPAD, photodiodes).

📨 How to Apply
Send a short email to **[ fardipour@ipm.ir ] with:
1. A brief cover note (max. 1 page) explaining your interest and why you are a good fit for long-term, dedicated work.
2. Your CV (including lab/research experience).
3. Your academic transcript (unofficial is fine).
