📢 The Foton Institute is offering a PhD position on “Visible to mid-infrared integrated light sources based on rare earth-doped materials compatible with silicon photonics”.

🔬 This project focuses on integrated optical sources based on rare-earth-doped materials, combining micro/nano-fabrication, optical simulations, and device characterization. The work will contribute to next-generation integrated sensors, lab-on-a-chip devices, and quantum technologies.

📍 The PhD will take place at the Photonic Systems team of the Foton Institute in Lannion, France, in an excellent research environment in Brittany.

📅 Starting date: September–November 2026

⏳ Duration: 36 months
