Uncertainty in Deep Learning, p.1 (Intro)

This time, let's try to do it in English for my English-speaking readers.

While I’m still waiting for my job permits for my new job, I decided to condense some of my knowledge about my PhD topic—uncertainty estimation (UE) in deep learning—into a series of blog posts where I try to explain the subject in simple terms for a broad audience.

In the first post below, I want to talk about the basics of UE, its applications, and its current state.
