The primary focus of this postdoctoral project is to investigate the effects of moderate continuous and intermittent hypoxia on brain function in healthy humans. This research is particularly relevant for understanding cognitive and neural adaptations in athletes, individuals exposed to high altitudes, and those with certain medical conditions. By integrating advanced neuroimaging and neurophysiological techniques, the project aims to elucidate how different hypoxic exposure modalities shape brain activity, cortical oxygenation, and cognitive performance, potentially informing new strategies for health optimization and athletic training.
