Are you passionate about transforming our understanding of immune cell function and eager to contribute to innovative therapies for leukemia? If your academic journey or career ambitions center on cutting-edge immunology and translational medicine, a fully funded PhD position at INSERM in France could be your next step toward groundbreaking research and professional growth.
The central focus of this PhD project is to investigate the role of non-canonical caspase-8 (NC-CASP8) as a druggable regulator of immunosuppressive macrophages in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Macrophages are key players in the tumor microenvironment, and their ability to suppress or promote immune responses can dramatically influence cancer progression. By targeting NC-CASP8, this research aims to reprogram macrophages from an immunosuppressive (M2/LAM-like) to a pro-inflammatory, anti-leukemic state.
