The main focus of this PhD position is to identify and develop new strategies to overcome immunosuppression within the tumor microenvironment, a critical barrier in effective cancer therapy. Immunosuppression in tumors, particularly in solid malignancies such as osteosarcoma, hinders the immune system’s ability to recognize and eliminate cancer cells. By targeting and modulating the immune components of the tumor microenvironment, this research aims to enhance the efficacy of current and emerging cancer treatments.
