😃 New Study Could Help End Baldness

A recent study found that a protein called MCL-1 is very important for hair growth. MCL-1 helps keep hair follicle stem cells alive. These stem cells are needed to grow new hair.

In experiments with mice, when scientists removed MCL-1 from these stem cells, the cells died and the mice lost their hair because new hair could not grow.

This discovery suggests that helping the body make more MCL-1 might be a way to treat some types of hair loss in the future. However, more research is needed before this can become a treatment for people.
