❎ xAI Launches Grokipedia Beta as Wikipedia Rival
Elon Musk's xAI quietly launched Grokipedia v0.1 on Monday, pitching the AI encyclopedia as a challenge to Wikipedia after delays and debate about its goals.
The beta went live with about 885,000 articles, saw brief outages, and features AI‑verified pages with limited user editing compared to Wikipedia.
The release came a week after Musk's planned October 20 date, which he postponed to "purge out the propaganda".
