📛 Smart Ring Battery Swells, Traps User's Finger

A Samsung Galaxy Ring owner ended up in the emergency room after the device swelled on his finger and wouldn't come off.

YouTuber Daniel Rotar was 48 hours into his travels when his smart ring's battery began to swell, becoming too tight to remove. The pressure caused his finger to swell as well.

Rotar was at the airport waiting to board when the problem occurred. He and the airline staff attempted to remove it with soap and water, but this only caused the battery to swell further. He was denied boarding and sent to the hospital, where staff applied ice to his hand and used medical lubricant to remove the ring.
