🐳 Germany Tells Apple, Google to Remove DeepSeek from Stores

Germany's data protection chief ordered Apple and Google on Friday to remove the Chinese AI app DeepSeek from their stores, citing illegal data transfers to China and inadequate privacy protections. The move adds to Europe's growing backlash against the popular chatbot, which has shaken up the AI market since its launch in January.

Commissioner Meike Kamp said DeepSeek sends user data to China without proper safeguards. Apple and Google must now review the order and decide whether to block the app in Germany.
