☄️ Asteroid 2024 YR4 Now Has 4.3% Chance of Hitting Moon in 2032

According to NASA's latest data, an asteroid once thought to threaten Earth now has a 4.3% chance of striking the Moon on December 22, 2032. The updated estimate from the Center for Near-Earth Object Studies is more than double the 1.8% lunar impact risk calculated in February.

Astronomers have spent months refining the orbit of asteroid 2024 YR4, which measures about 53 to 67 meters wide—roughly the height of a 10-story building. While Earth is no longer in danger, the rising risk to the Moon is drawing attention from scientists worldwide.
