1X, a Norwegian company that makes robots, is planning to test its human-like robot, Neo Gamma in homes by the end of 2025. They will place the robot in many homes, between a few hundred and a few thousand, to see how it works in real-life situations.

When these tests first start, skilled people will control the robot's movements from a distance. This is to ensure the robot's safety and collect information about how it performs in different homes. The company is doing this to eventually make the robot able to do tasks by itself without needing human control.
