🤔 Microsoft Study: AI May Harm Critical Thinking

A study by Microsoft and Carnegie Mellon found that heavy reliance on generative AI can reduce critical thinking among workers. Surveying 319 workers and analyzing 936 AI use cases, researchers observed that many accept AI outputs without proper evaluation, mistaking minor edits for critical thought.

Key insights:

➡️ Strong self-confidence improves critical thinking and evaluation of AI outputs.

The findings highlight the need to balance AI use with independent problem-solving skills.
