A former Air Canada pilot, Geoffrey Wall, was arrested for flying over 900 flights as a captain between 2009 and 2025 without the required Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL-A).
Although he held a commercial pilot's license throughout his 27-year career, investigations revealed that he had never obtained the mandatory certification required for his promotion to captain. Consequently, he now faces criminal charges for operating flights for nearly 17 years without the proper credentials.
"This is very similar to a doctor that is licensed to practice family medicine but is doing brain surgery in their office," Peel Regional Police Deputy Chief Milinovich said.
