What a heck of a year. Like if time was running out, it seems everyone is in some collective acceleration of particles, finding where their place is, what their voice sounds like, what could their biggest contribution in this world be. And god knows how much it takes to be oneself, sound like oneself, occupy one’s place in the world.
As things become ultra complex, VUCA, BANI and what have you, the ones who find true simplicity are the truly wealthy.

That’s why it looks that, against all odds and slightly jokingly, we are entering the era of the clown.

The clown is the opposite of artificial intelligence, automation, algorithms, social media, polarisation, echo chambers, geopolitics, etc etc. The clown is all that can’t be measured, controlled, accumulated, separated, optimised. It’s the celebration of all imperfections, the relief born from humility, a joyful sacrifice for the common connection. It’s the paradox of being so deeply and uniquely personal that we become universal.
The clown is humans at their best - nature and human genius dancing together.

It’s clear we weren’t built for how we’re living.
I kind of lost count but this year I worked in more than a dozen countries, facilitated more than 60 different groups, did several directing sessions, many one-on-ones, more than 50 performances on stage…
These are nothing more than numbers, but it feels insane.

Still, what is mind boggling is the intensity of each of these encounters.
The absolute presence of body, mind and spirit all aligned to hold the space for all kinds of transformations, revelations, expression, beauty, challenge, pure magic.

And this was all you. You were the protagonist, the one stepping up, jumping in, getting lost, being found. Offering your body, your heart, your eyes and shining the softest and most powerful light for everybody to feel it inside themselves. You were the big picture, the purpose, the heartbeat which offers meaning to all this madness.

I am dedicating a long period now of radical slowing down, and again I’m overflowing with gratitude and awe for all the small and big miracles that we’ve witnessed together this year. I never really consciously decided it, but I started to be less drawn to perform for audiences than to train groups because in the latter I get to know the people, share with each participant, it’s a two-direction act of generosity. And I prefer that to give myself for an hour or two to a group of strangers and then head to an hotel knowing and feeling the same. Each person in our workshops became part of me, of us.

Thank you for not being strangers anymore.

And here’s to a new year becoming less of a stranger to oneself and to others.

Here’s to big and mad love in 2026.
