Before: User Status

Right now, Telegram status is just an icon with a timer that controls how long it stays visible. But many people now use Telegram for work. They use it to communicate with clients, colleagues, teammates, and business partners.
Despite that, the current status system barely helps with communication. It doesn’t show whether someone is busy, when they’ll be back, or if a quick reply should be expected. Because of this, users either have to explain their situation manually every time or simply ignore messages.
