Patriotic Alternative Wales
Members of PA Wales went to experience Harlech Castle at the weekend. The castle is huge and incredibly the Britons built it in just 6 building seasons, with a maximum number of 950 people at any one time. The castle was built near the sea on a high rocky outcrop so it could easily be supplied by boats from England and Ireland
After leaving the castle the group went to visit some ancient burial chambers in a village nearby. One pair originally looked like two cairns, but our ancestors pulled all the stones down to reveal two dolmens, leaving the stones in situ. This pair were right next to a Primary School, while the other one was a mile down the road, hidden away and hard to find, until it suddenly appeared out of the fog, next to a river.
The day was finished with a meal of locally sourced food at a restaurant franchise unique to North Wales.
