The forgotten masonic roots of Wotanism
Many modern neo-pagans forget about the historical roots of Wotanism, not all of them have though. The Asatru Folk Assembly acknowledges Guido von List as the real PATRIARCH of Norse Heathenry, so much so that he is attributed the special "master" (meister) title whenever he is spoken of. [source]
Racialist neo-pagan leader, Stephen McNallen, acknowledges Guido von List as the spiritual founder and redeemer of all Heathenry. 'Rune master' is the special title he designated him. [source]
Why does this all matter exactly you ask? Well because Guido was a 33rd degree Freemason who was surrounded by nothing but other Kabbalah-loving masons such as Rudolf Gorselben, Jörg Lanz von Liebenfels (an ethnic jew), Moritz Altschüler (another ethnic jew), Herbert Reichstein, and a plentiful amount of others. [source]
Meister List once said, "...ten is the number of the divine perfection according to the rules of Armanism, as well as the rules of Kabbalah." [Armanism and Kabbalah, pp.3-4] Let's keep going, shall we? – Wotanist pioneer Rudolf Gorselben said point blank, “The key to the Kabbalah is the Runes, the ten Sephiroth, the ten numbers of the Kabbalah.”
These early neo-pagans were fusing jewish mysticism from the Zohar into their runic magic, traditions, and doctrine. In a discovered draft for Meister List's final book that he never published, he said that all of Germanic wisdom was preserved by the rabbis who wrote the Zohar so they would not be easily detected by the ecclesiastical authorities of the Church. History is a very strange thing, isn't it?
