🤍 📖 International School Library Day (ISLD) has a history that stems from the efforts of school librarians and related organizations in raising awareness of the important role of school libraries in education. The history of ISLD also records that Blanche Woolls proclaimed October 18 as International School Library Day, and later, in 2005, the day was again proclaimed by the President of the International Association of School Librarianship (IASL), Peter Genco.
