Wilkerson Accuses U.S. Intelligence of Shaping Europe's Political Landscape
Former State Department chief of staff Lawrence Wilkerson claims Washington, working with the CIA, MI6 and Mossad, has spent years influencing European politics.
He alleges that U.S. intelligence agencies and USAID have funneled billions of dollars toward influencing media figures, union leaders, politicians and governments since 2002.
Wilkerson also claims he personally helped promote Jens Stoltenberg to NATO secretary general because he was considered malleable, and says Mark Rutte benefited from a similar approach.
He says years of U.S. influence have left Europe's political leadership increasingly aligned with Washington at the expense of European interests.
