St. Nina Orthodox Church in Orlando, FL. Founded in 2008 to serve the Russian-speaking community of the city, it is a parish of the OCA Diocese of the South. Fr. Andrii Syrkin, the son of the priest who I recently posted serving a mission in Quebec, was assigned to this parish in 2018 and has been its rector ever since. The parish was blessed to move into its permanent home in 2022. While being started for Russians, the parish has grown into a home for Orthodox Christians of all nations, with baptisms of adult converts being celebrated there and even a Georgian food festival now. While the OCA is now predominantly American, churches such as this one show that there is still a place there for other forms of the authentic expression of the Orthodox faith, as are needed for the benefit of the faithful.
