AI Research Lead | Search & LLM Systems / Nebius
📍 Location: Amsterdam, London, or remote across Europe and Israel (CET ±2)
Nebius is building AI infrastructure at global scale, from training and
inference to the infrastructure powering modern AI products.
Following our acquisition of Tavily (Feb 2026), we’re building an agent-native search platform, already serving tens of thousands of AI systems today, with the ambition to become the default web access layer for AI.
You’ll work on:
• Applied research across retrieval, ranking, and agent-native search systems
• Multi-stage retrieval pipelines (query understanding, rewriting, reranking)
• Grounding LLMs with real-time web data
• Evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for AI systems at scale
We’re looking for:
• Strong track record of shipping ML/AI systems to production
• Deep experience in search, retrieval, ranking, or recommendation systems
• Strong understanding of modern deep learning (transformers, embeddings)
• Experience with LLM-based or knowledge-intensive systems
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or C++
