🎙 Podcast release

We are happy to announce that the 1st episode of our new podcast is ready (it’s in Russian) 🎉

As promised, we talked with Zlata, learned a lot of interesting things, and asked your questions from the form.

Check it out in the new channel: @podcast108fm

💪 Sport in IU is now better 💚

Some of us spent a few last weekends making the Sport in our university more convenient for students.

Meet the new features:
🤖 @IUSportBot — a new Telegram bot that can show your progress, check-in you for the training classes and more
📅 Personal calendar — no more need to manually add trainings to the calendar apps
⚡️ Better performance — merged a Pull Request to InnoSport to show a list of classes for you 5x times faster

Contributors:
@evermake — developed the sport bot
@ArtemSBulgakov — made a PR to InnoSport with additional endpoint required for the bot, configured CI/CD, implemented Telegram login and added a new Sport section on innohassle.ru
@dantetemplar — made a PR to InnoSport to speed up the endpoint that returns trainings, implemented Telegram-to-InNoHassle accounts linking in InNoHassle-Accounts, made an endpoint that returns personal sport calendar in InNoHassle-Events

Everything is open-source, and contributions are welcome!

We have more interesting things coming this week. Stay tuned!

❗️Midterm Update❓

While you are preparing for the midterm exams, we have prepared a bunch of new updates for you. Also our website already has a schedule for the second block, use it 🥹

Updates ✨
📅 3 days calendar view and «Today» button — calendar has become even more convenient, especially on phones.
🎨 New event colors — we've spied these colors from Apple and Notion.
🌝 Theme improvements — contrast was adjusted and website now loads immediately with the correct theme, so you will never see flickering again.
🔄 Loading states — loading animations for elements that are not loaded yet.
↔️ Collapsible sections — save some space by collapsing sections on the dashboard page.

Check the updates on the website. And if you encounter difficulties or find a bug, do not hesitate to write to @dantetemplar.

All this is done by our great contributors 💜
@ArtemSBulgakov improved calendar appearance.
@JustDanman added loading states and refactored frontend.
@dianaia made sections collapsible.
@Saidaziz_K suggested better colors.
@evermake wrote the contribution guide.

Each contribution is appreciated. If you want to help, please read our contribution guide 👉👈

⚡️ Introduction to one-zero-eight. 2024 edition ⚡️

We are engaged in project activities, event management, and fun. Our main goal is the personal development of community members.

Community was born more than a year ago. And exactly a year ago, Feb. 6, we held our first public presentation. We decided to repeat this presentation: to talk about changes, achievements, and the future.

Event program:
18:00 — tea time & photo zone with Ryan Gosling and Photo Club 🕺
18:30 — live music concert by Dmitry Tetkin 🎸
19:00 — presentation itself 💬
20:00 — after-party with a cozy atmosphere (democracy will decide the format of the party) 🎉

Language: Russian 🇷🇺
Date: Tuesday, Feb. 6, 19:00 📆
Location: 108 room 📍
Included: Sweets and tea 🍰☕️

In February, we are beginning a new wave of interviews for those wishing to join our community. So come to the presentation, get to know us (if you haven't already) and become one of us 💕
