TeamPCP is selling ~4,000 private GitHub repositories on Breached forum for a minimum of $50K. If no buyer is found, they leak it free.
EXPLANATION:
The breach was caused by a malicious VS Code extension installed on a GitHub employee's device, giving attackers access to thousands of internal repos. GitHub confirmed the incident, isolated the system, removed the extension from the marketplace and rotated all critical credentials. TeamPCP is offering samples to verify authenticity and has published the full list of stolen repositories. No public repos or enterprise customer data affected, for now.
